Some wedding days simply feel like a Southern fairytale—and Holly & Jared’s March wedding at Sundown Farms Plantation was exactly that. A prismatic garden of pastel florals, a heartfelt chapel ceremony wrapped in blooms, and a breathtaking couple whose love was as radiant as the spring sunlight—this celebration was a perfect blend of classic Southern tradition and personality-filled charm. Set in the peaceful countryside of Moultrie, Georgia, their day was a graceful nod to their love for hunting, their devotion to family and faith, and their shared joy in the outdoors.

Located in South Georgia’s quiet countryside, Sundown Farms Plantation offers a setting that feels both serene and deeply Southern. Holly & Jared’s wedding used every inch of that backdrop to reflect their personalities—elegant and joyful, traditional yet spirited. The chapel, a focal point of the venue, offered a warm, intimate space surrounded by open fields and wildflowers, giving this garden-inspired wedding the perfect storybook setting.

A Wedding Style That Felt Like a Watercolor in Bloom

The entire wedding design was a Southern love letter to spring. Inspired by Bridgerton garden parties and the couple’s country lifestyle, the aesthetic merged timeless style with floral-forward color play. The bridal bouquets burst with sunset peach, buttery yellow, blush pink, lavender, and cornflower blue—featuring garden roses, ranunculus, delphinium, and scabiosa. From the flatlays to the altar, every detail felt painterly and romantic.

The bride’s classic strapless gown by Justin Alexander was the picture of Southern elegance—clean, structured lines with a modern neckline that let her natural beauty and radiant bouquet shine. Her bridesmaids wore a mix of sky-blue dresses from Revelry and Bella Bridesmaids’ Dessy Collection, offering a playful yet polished contrast that danced beautifully against the colorful floral palette.

The groom and his groomsmen wore timeless black tuxedos with crisp white shirts and black bow ties. Jared stood out subtly with a boutonnière inspired by Holly’s vibrant bouquet, adding a personal touch to his classic look. The entire wedding party struck a balance of refined charm and relaxed joy—a beautiful reflection of the couple themselves.

A Ceremony Rooted in Faith and Family

Holly had one very heartfelt request: for her chapel ceremony to be overflowing with florals at the base and crown of the cross. It was a meaningful tribute to her faith and a beautiful symbol of her and Jared’s covenant love. The ceremony inside Sundown Farms’ historic chapel was filled with reverence and intention—surrounded by lush blooms, emotional prayers, and the warm wooden glow of a venue steeped in tradition.

As Holly and Jared exchanged vows beneath that flower-covered cross, guests were enveloped in a moment that felt sacred and joy-filled. One of my favorite moments to photograph was the way they looked at each other during the ceremony—completely at peace, completely in love.

A Celebration That Felt Like the South

<p>The reception brought the party—Southern-style. Guests were treated to elevated regional favorites like <strong>fried okra, pimento cheese biscuits</strong>, and even <strong>boiled peanuts</strong> as a late-night snack (a true Georgia touch!). DJ Cannon of <strong>Sound Insight</strong> kept the dance floor full until the very end—with everyone from family to lifelong friends joining in the fun.</p> <p>Among the guests was <strong>Jake Fromm</strong>, beloved UGA quarterback and current NFL player with the Detroit Lions. A childhood friend of the couple, Jake celebrated alongside Holly & Jared and was seen dancing the night away with friends and family—bringing even more energy and excitement to an already unforgettable reception.</p> <p>Just when everyone thought the night was winding down, Holly’s mom surprised <em>everyone</em>—including the bride and groom—with a dazzling <strong>fireworks show</strong>. As guests gasped and the couple laughed in disbelief, the sky lit up in celebration. Holly & Jared made their grand exit through a tunnel of <strong>white streamer poppers</strong>, wrapping the night in pure joy.</p>

A Note from the Photographer

Holly & Jared were a dream to photograph. Holly was the kind of bride every photographer hopes for—graceful, intentional, and joyful—and she and her mom had such a clear vision for what they wanted guests to experience. The way this wedding beautifully merged garden elegance with outdoor adventure (and a touch of hunting lodge charm!) made it uniquely theirs.
