In the heart of Madison, GA, on the enchanting grounds of Empire Mills, Olivia and Tyler celebrated their covenant love on October 7th, 2023. As a proud alum of Gatewood, it was an extra special moment for me to capture the wedding of two fellow Gatewood alumni.

Olivia and Tyler’s love story began in the halls of Gatewood School, where they first crossed paths. However, it wasn’t until after high school at the Lake Oconee Food and Wine Festival, a yearly extravaganza held at the Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee in March, that they rekindled their connection. Destiny seemed to intertwine their lives, leading them down a path of shared dreams and everlasting love.

Their wedding day reflected the timeless elegance of their journey. The classic black-and-white palette created an atmosphere of sophistication, mirroring the grace and beauty of Olivia and Tyler’s commitment to each other. Every detail, from the stunning floral arrangements and luscious greenery by Gussies House of Flowers to the refined black dresses and tuxes of the bridal party, spoke volumes about their style and shared vision for their special day.

Tyler, a skilled chiropractor, and Olivia, a talented hair stylist, brought their unique talents together to create a day that radiated sophistication and warmth. The synergy of their professions was mirrored in the seamless coordination of their wedding – a harmonious blend of love, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The story of their union began with a romantic proposal at Town Park in Madison, GA, expertly captured through my lens. Tyler’s thoughtful gesture set the stage for a series of unforgettable moments, each frozen in time by the click of the camera. The magic of their proposal photos resonated so deeply with Olivia and Tyler that they knew they wanted me to be the one to document their wedding day. It was an honor to witness and capture their love story from the beginning.

As they exchanged vows under the glow of the Marsden ballroom grand crystal chandelier surrounded by loved ones, it was evident that Olivia and Tyler were destined for a lifetime of happiness. The connection between them was palpable in their smiles and laughter, and my camera was there to immortalize every loving glance, every shared laugh, and every tear of joy.

The bride chose a magnificent classic wedding gown with a fusion sweetheart and off the shoulder bodice with ruching down the trumpet silhouette. The groom wore and ivory jacket with a white shirt and black tie for a suave look. The bridal party wore elegant bridesmaid dresses and tuxes to complement the timeless and sleek vibe of the wedding design.

To elevate the classic look of this wedding, I photographed some of the bride & groom’s portraits on a grey fine art backdrop.  There is something so timeless about traditional bridal portraits, and it was sheer joy for me to create these frame worthy images for the Franks.

Olivia & Tyler really wanted the focus of their wedding to be on truly celebrating with their loved ones, and they had the wildest reception! Xtreme Party Band played an epic selection of classic songs to keep the party rocking all night long while the guests danced with colored glow sticks and even had a limbo contest with one of the groomsmen’s belts. 10/10 highly recommend this for super fun reception photos!

Following their picture-perfect wedding day, Olivia and Tyler jetted off to Cabo for a romantic honeymoon – the perfect beginning to their adventure as a married couple. The sunsets of Cabo witnessed the start of a new chapter in their lives, filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a future as timeless as the images captured on their wedding day.

In the tapestry of love, Olivia and Tyler’s wedding day stands out as a masterpiece. It was a privilege to capture their love story so they can linger longer with their memories, and I look forward to seeing their love story continue to unfold through the lens of life.
